Real Madrid VS Dortmund

UEFA Champions League

Posted on: April 2, 2014 at 8:48AM

Home Score: 3

Away Score: 0

Analysis:

Well this is a no brainier really. It is Champions League, and of course that all the teams that are remaining are top European clubs but still, Dortmund came to end, when we talk about this years campaign. Real Madrid may have lost two matches in a row in Primera, they have been beaten by Barcelona and Sevilla, but this is far more serious. They trail in domestic league and will have to pray for some fail of both Atletico and Barca but this competition could save their season if they dont win the league. They have been quite lucky with the draw in my opinion as they got one of the worst teams among the ones that are left. It is not that Dortmund are a bad team, it is just the fact that English clubs, Spanish ones and Bayern are better at the moment. They are not doing particularly well in Bundesliga and Bayern already won the title. They are quite sloppy at the back but surely are capable of scoring. Anyway, Ronaldo, Bale and others are a bite too big for them at the moment. I expect a comfortable win for Real here.

Braga VS Olhanense

Portuguese Liga

Posted on: November 28, 2013 at 5:05PM

Home Score: 3

Away Score: 0

Analysis:

Braga is in huge crisis and they should be looking to get out of this awful situation as soon as possible and tonight they have one of the best possible opponents to do so. The team started the campaign pretty strong, having won twelve points in the first five rounds (4-0-1) and as it was expected along with Porto, Benfica and Sporting were fighting for the top spots. But since then everything is going downwords for the side and in the last two months the team had lost five times in a row in the league, something that had not happened for them in maybe five or more seasons. Because of this awful run they are now way behind the top three in the table and the chance for a Champions League spot, but even more, they are now four behind even behind the Europa League places and if they don't manage to end this run soon, the things would get much worse, but I'm pretty convinced that they will finally make a good performance tonight. Olhanense is among the bottom sides in the table with just nine points won so far (2-3-5) and for them this season will be to avoid relegation, so this place among the bottom five sides is pretty normal. The two teams met juts two weeks ago in a game for the cup and Braga won without any problems with 3:1 as visitors and I think that tonight they won't be much troubled as well, especially when playing at home and the fans won't allow another mistake, not against such an opponent. -1.5 asian handicap for the hosts is around 1.80 right now and I think that this is pretty good line and odds, as I expect something around 3:0 for Braga in this game.

Wolfsburg VS Hamburger

German Bundesliga

Posted on: November 28, 2013 at 4:56PM

Home Score: 2

Away Score: 0

Analysis:

Wolfsburg continues to impress recently in the league and after winning a whole thirteen points just in the last five rounds in the Bundesliga (4-1-0) they have moved up to fifth position in the table, currently just three points behind the fourth spot and the Champions League place, which is actually goal number one for them. The team is also playing great football at home so far, where their only defeat surprisingly came against one of the outsiders and favorites for relegation Braunschweig, but in the other five matches Wolfsburg won five times in five games and conceded just two goals, as they had managed to beat here even Borussia Dortmund. Diego is still out for the hosts, but in the recent weeks the team proved that they can cope without him as well. The miss of Van Der Vaart for Hamburger on other side will be much more trouble for the visitors. They depend a lot on the midfielder, who not only brings a lot of assists, but also had scored a whole six times so far in the Bundesliga. Also against the leaders recently Hamburger is showing really bad performance and just proved that cannot fight with the top six sides, losing to Leverkusen and Monchengladbach in two of the last three rounds and conceding a whole seven goals in those matches. So, home win here for me, as odds in the region of 1.75, 1.80 looks pretty good.

Chelsea VS Manchester City

English Premier League

Posted on: October 26, 2013 at 4:25PM

Home Score: 1

Away Score: 2

Analysis:

The most interesting game from this round in the Premier League is tonight and I think that the only thing we can think about this encounter is that we are gonna see some goals. Chelsea did not start the new campaign good at all, but recently had managed to find their best form. They had won just seven points in the first four rounds in the Premier League (2-1-1), lost from Bayern Munich for the Super Cup, as well as lost from Basel with 1:2 at the start of the Champions League group stage. But after that the things are getting better and better, as Chelsea had won six of their last seven games in all competitions (6-1-0) and in the last four of those matches were just mercy less, beating their opponents with 3:1, 4:0, 3:1 and 4:0, which is quite an impressive form. The big problem for Manchester City this season is their performance on the road. They started the campaign in the Premier League away from home really bad, having won just one single point in their first three matches as visitors (0-1-2), but so far in October and in the last week that changed. Just for seven days City won twice as visitors, first against West Ham with 2:1 in the Premier League and three days later with 3:1 against CSKA in Moscow. This was their third victory in a row in all competitions, as well as the last five games for the team in all competitions ended with over 2.5 goals. Odds around 1.75 - 1.80 for over 2.5 here is really good and I think that such a bet will be a winner.

Schalke VS Chelsea

UEFA Champions League

Posted on: October 21, 2013 at 6:09PM

Home Score: 2

Away Score: 2

Analysis:

Really important game for both sides here, as the eventual victory will made them the big favorite for the first place in this group. Schalke received really bad news in the midweek, as their main striker Huntelaar had another injury and the news are that he needs surgery, which will leave him out for another 3-4 months, as so far he was out in the last two months. But still the team is doing good so far without him as well, especially after the arrival of Boateng, who has made a great impact and already had scored a lot of important goals. Schalke is on a great form recently, as they had won eight of their last ten games in all competitions (8-1-1) and the bad start of the campaign is already forgotten. In the Bundesliga they moved really close to the fourth position after the last two victories, while also in the Champions League they started the perfect way, winning their first two games against Steaua and Basel, scoring four goals in them. Chelsea also had a slow start of the campaign, but just like their opponent have entered in a great run recently. The team had won five times in their last six games in all competitions (5-1-0) and managed to move really close from the leaders Arsenal in the Premier League. Also after the dissapointing defeat from Basel at home in the first match of the Champions League group stage, they had no problems in the second game, beating Steaua as visitors with 4:0, but if Mourinho and his players want the first position in the group, they need to beat Schalke as well. I expect goals in this game, as the odds for over 2.5 goals are around 1.78

Milan VS Barcelona

UEFA Champions League

Posted on: October 21, 2013 at 6:03PM

Home Score: 1

Away Score: 3

Analysis:

I just can't see how Milan will manage to play on the same level as Barcelona, if, of course, the Catalans put a maximum performance in this game, but even if giving like 80%, I still think that they are going to win. Milan is becoming weaker and weaker in the last seasons and in this campaign I just can't see them fighting for the Champions League places, as place around the fifth looks like their maximum potential. The team is on eight position in the table right now in Serie A, with just three victories in the first eight rounds (3-2-3) and already way behind the top teams, which just shows that in this campaign they won't be among the favorites for sure. Milan also had big problems in both their matches so far in the Champions League, despite that they had won four points. They beat Celtic at home really hard, while in the second game should have lost from Ajax, but were given a really funny penalty, which gave them the point. Also the hosts are without their strikers Baloteli, Shaarawy and Pazzini for tonight. Barcelona on other hand lost points for the first time in the campaign this weekend. The team made a goal less draw with Osasuna, but despite that they were the superial team in the whole ninety minutes and missed a lot of chances. And still they remains leaders with twenty five from the possible twenty seven points after the first nine rounds (8-1-0) in La Liga. Also they won both their matches in the Champions League so far, beating Ajax at home with 4:0 and Celtic on the road with 1:0 and also in their last seven games in all competitions, the Catalans had conceded just two goals. Away win at 1.65 looks more than good enough for me.

Lyon VS Bordeaux

French League 1

Posted on: October 19, 2013 at 4:55PM

Home Score: 2

Away Score: 0

Analysis:

Both teams are struggling so far in the campaign and both sides will be looking only for the three points, but still Lyon is keeping some high standards at home, so I think a bet on them in this game worth the risk for sure. Lyon is on the bottom half of the table, which is something that we surely have not used to see in the last decade, as right now they had won just eleven points in the nine rounds in Ligue1 so far (3-2-4). Still, as I said, they are keeping some good standard in their home matches, as so far lost just once in front of their fans in the league (2-2-1). Bordeaux is struggling even more, as they are with just ten points so far in Ligue1, having won just two single games (2-4-3). Also, just like Lyon, they are playing much better at home, as so far they had won seven of their ten points in Ligue1 exactly in front of their fans (2-1-2), while on the road is still without a victory in four matches (0-3-1). Also for tonight the visitors will be without four regular players in the likes of defenders Henrique and Poundje, as well as midfielders Belay and Poko. Odds around 2.10 for the hosts here represent a good value for me.

Newcastle VS Liverpool

English Premier League

Posted on: October 18, 2013 at 9:52AM

Home Score: 2

Away Score: 2

Analysis:

Newcastle is not having a bad campaign, like almost everyone in England is talking right now. The team lost three times so far in the Premier League, but two of those defeats came as visitors against Manchester City and Everton, so nothing that much surprising about that. Maybe only the 2:3 home defeat from Hull City was the really bad performance from them so far in the campaign. From the other four games so far in the league Newcatle managed to win ten points (3-1-0), as if we also count the two victories in the Capital One Cup, than so far the team is with five wins in the nine games they had played in all competitions in 2013/2014 (5-1-3). Also recently they are on a run of four overs in their last five games and had managed to score at least a goal in their last seven games in all competitions. Liverpool is having their best start of the campaign in the Premier League from a really long time. With sixteen points won so far after the first seven rounds (5-1-1) they are on second position in the table, but with the same amount of points as the leaders Arsenal. Suarez is back in the squad and in the last two rounds along with Sturridge they showed incredible stuff in attack and the goals did not come late. Also the good news for the manager is that Coutinho is fit again and can play as well. Liverpool won their last two league games in a row, as both those matches ended with over 3.5 goals in them. I think that the best option for this match will be the over, as over 2.5 goals right now can be found at around odds 1.65, while over 3.5 at more than 2.50 and both bets really deserve the attention.

Czech Republic VS Italy

World Cup 2014

Posted on: June 6, 2013 at 6:06PM

Home Score: 0

Away Score: 1

Analysis:

After the defeat against Denmark everyone was talking that Czech Republic is having no chances for the first two places anymore, but they responded with the best way, beating Armenia with 3:0 as visitors and getting back into third position, two points and game less from second Bulgaria, so for sure they are still in the game at least for the playoff place. Tonight they will have extremely tough game against Italy and I think that we will see a big battle in the midfield and not much chances for goals actually, which leads my pick to taking the under at the end. Czech Republic won eight points in the first five games so far (2-2-1), but the two wins came against Armenia and Malta, while in the three games against Denmark (twice) and Bulgaria they won just two points so far. In all those three matches they didn't score a goal, which is for sure a bad tendention for them and tonight I don't think they will have much chances also. Italy, normally are leaders in their group with thirteen points and maybe even the draw will be enough for them tonight. The team will for sure try first not to concede a goal and play it more safely, so overall I think that one goal can decide this match in the end. So, under 2.5 goals for me.

Croatia VS Scotland

World Cup 2014

Posted on: June 6, 2013 at 5:11PM

Home Score: 3

Away Score: 0

Analysis:

Really important game for Croatia here. They continue the chase with Belgium for the first place in the group and the automatic qualification for the World Cup, as both teams have won sixteen from the possible eighteen points so far (5-1-0) and the only time they lost points was in the draw between them in Belgium, so actually Croatia is with advantage in this battle, as there is game against Belgium, when they will be hosts. But before that match Croatia need to win the other games and tonight's one against Scotland makes no difference. So far at home Croatia not only won all three games, but also have not conceded a single goal in them. Corluca and Modric are suspended for today. Scotland is having maybe one of their worst periods from a long time. The team is playing awful, currently being on the bottom of the table, even behind Wales and Macedonia, as they have won just two single points from their six matches so far (0-2-4), as well as have scored just three goals in them. The stats as visitors are even worse, as Scotland have lost all three games so far on the road and scored just one single goal in them. Also six regular players didn't travel to Croatia, so the problems just keeps getting bigger and bigger for the visitors. Croatia with handicap is my choice here, as I expect an easy victory for them.
